Atmosphere is old school here. Pizza is always great. My favorite go to pizza. Service is always good!

Tried based on reviews! Long time local pizzeria Did not skimp on cheese! Tasty crust and sauce. Not my absolute go to in the future. But would recommend and try again next time I'm in town. Solid choice. Chose take out. Note. Had great older arcade games

What is going on everyone I have yet another review here for you. I have to space these things out okay. Anyways this past Saturday me and my cousin ventured out over to Vestavia Hills, AL to try out Davenport's Pizza Palace second location to try it for consistency. I say that because they have a Mountain Brook, AL location and I've been there before but never reviewed it. This location is in a great spot scenery is great and an awesome place to hang out. Both locations have an arcade area with really cool games as well. This place was extremely busy but the staff was so kind and they were doing a great job. Also to add to that for my drinkers they have a bar and a drink menu too! Now for the pizza we ordered the meat lovers and as always very good. Crispy crust and you can tell they use fresh cheese and fresh ingredients in general. I'm going to pull a Dave Portnoy and give this pizza an 8.2 out of 10. There is a reason this place always makes it on the list as one of the best places to get pizza in all of Alabama and it is indeed one of my favorite places to go. Go check them out at either location and enjoy their great food just like I did. In no particular order my favorite pizza places are Pizza Grace, 2 Dough Girlz Pizzeria , and Davenport's Pizza.

First time trying this place. I ordered online and it took about 30 minutes for the pickup. I came in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and it was a handful of customers. My pizza was ready when I got there and still hot! I ate a slice soon as I got in the car. I would give the pizza a 7/10. Really nothing special about it. My only con would be the pepperoni being under the cheese. That is weird, I want my pepperoni to cook and crunch up but their pepperoni is extremely thin. The pizza sauce is little more on the acidic side and the cheese blend was good. I would probably go back but I wouldn't break my neck to tell someone about it. It's just a decent old school classic pizza spot and it's nothing wrong with that. I can appreciate old school classic pizza like this one. I would try different toppings if I were to return.

You don't see pizza parlor's like that these days, and this one was stood the test of time in Mountain Brook. Friendly service, fresh food, and an authentic atmosphere make this a must stop. The pizza is thin, New York style crust, but cut into squares. The salad is iceberg, but fresh. I love the cracker basket that accompanies the salad. Enjoy this special pizza parlor treat!

Where to begin? We love this little pizza place. It's been around since the Jurassic Period of the Mesozoic Era, okay? You don't stay in business THAT long unless you're doing something right and these guys are doing ALL the things right. Parking and in general just getting to the place can be a bit of a challenge if you're not accustomed to navigating that area. There's a lot of one way streets and street parking. When you walk into the restaurant you're immediately greeted by the aroma of fresh pizza seen being made in the kitchen to your right. Employees are friendly and acknowledge you. Doesn't take long to get seated or place your order. The ambiance is cute. Lots of photos on the walls of famous actors, actresses, signs from local breweries, and the like. There's a beautiful black trellis with string lights in the main dining area that separates some tables. The menus are written on wooden pizza paddles. The pizza is *chef's kiss* DEVINE. The cheese has that perfect stretch when you take a slice from the pie. It's not greasy or too heavily sauced. It's simply perfect. The ingredients taste fresh and they make their own sauces and salad dressing. We have eaten here several times over the years and have loved every experience and every pizza. I only wish we lived closer! We'd be there every week!

Very tasty pizza! Service was also really friendly! Davenport's gets a lot of business so it's really a hit or miss with call in orders (specifically if you call in during dinner time.) I've actually tried doing a to-go order twice and they weren't doing them. And if you know me you know that if I can't call in my order..it's on to the next. I finally got them this time! And I was super excited. Parking is steep but available! And it looks like a really family friendly environment although I didn't sit in. I'll have to give this place another shot because the reviews made it seem like the pizza was second to none, it was really good... but the pizza I got wasn't what I was expecting I guess (bread kind of hard to chew.)
